Current times are really different times! These are difficult and full of global uncertainties.
How the events are shaping up globally since February this year makes the Corona Pandemic years look even better!! 😊
The world is in a whirlpool like situation with unending military conflicts, disruptions in trade, energy, logistics and very tragic natural calamities.
And, all these are leading to overall uncertain eco-system for business with typical materials availability uncertainties, price volatility with supply chain – logistics disruptions. Thus, these are demanding and challenging times for business.

DPMAI has come of age! It almost closely matches the age like 5 years younger brother to Bharat as a nation that celebrated it’s 80th Independence Day!
As we continue to do good work for interest of this industry, there are more testing times for the industry on all important fronts.

Just a quick checklist of these fronts are:
(a) economic, global trade wars-n-competition,
(b) end of globalisation and rise of protectionist national interest on policy fronts,
(c) military conflicts influencing fuel oil and other trade maritime plus air supply chains,
(d) compliances and environment awareness with initiatives like EU-REACH, Turkey REACH, Packing Compliances in EU countries and
(e) impact of the most recent 2 ongoing wars (the one in our neighbourhood, West Asia that started last February and other in Europe in it’s 5th year now) on the large western economies of USA, Europe with consequences on Japan and so on!
All these are having cascading effects globally on all countries’ economies and trade relations. There are growing challenges as situations are taking new turns and sand shifts quickly from good to worse so frequently! And, most of it like no one knows or thought about! Like, who knows when and how these may resolve or stabilise to stop harming the business climate.

As always DPMAI continues to partner with the Government by making required representation and suggestions on industry with national interest in focus. Also,
it takes various initiatives to educate members on policy matters and other changes in industry happening around the world. We so far successfully held a respectable and ‘well heard’ relationship with core ministry concerning our industry ie. DCPC. We appreciate their co-operation, collaboration, help and trust in DPMAI.

We have also commenced our planning and preparations forming 11th CoC 2027 in January next year. I request all members to take keen interest and make their worthy contributions towards making it success like we have done before.

I assure members that with my new term and the commitments from your newly elected managing committee will serve the industry interests in synergy with that of Bharat.
Let us all collectively focus to manage our industries in difficult economic, geopolitical times and yet set focus on goals towards the Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat for 2047.
